Tambout the ease of moving between chords, the pinky snap on/off potential, hand not whizzing up the fretboard, the very ringingness of the blanggggg open chord

Right now, and for more than a few years:
Quando Quando Quando starting on D
Fly Me To The Moon starting Am7
Candyman on C --->Cmaj7

Outlier:
Gilbert O'Sullivan's Claire, Em Am7 to D9

I need some new ones, please to edjumacate

Anything with F7 or E flat gets gas face

  • "wonderwall" --- can keep pinky planted and it has open chord ringiness and good/but easy changes-- you can work up a good rhythm with it and playing this one has gotten me laid a bunch of times...

Zappa's "Zoot Allures" has some beautiful chords that just have to be blannnnggged.

Wonderwall is a good shout, but verse only.
That chorus of C and G is so unappealing in its whitebreaditude.
I'll have a go at jazzing it up a bit.

I have favorite songs for each guitar.

Lately with my Gretsch "Red Falcon" is Brian Setzer's take on Sleepwalk.

    [strong]On the Strat:[/strong]

Pink Floyd - "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" and anything Hendrix.

    [strong]On the 58 Les Paul Custom Shop:[/strong]

Fleetwood Mac - "Oh Well", Zeppelin - "Lemon Song"

    [strong]On the Telecaster:[/strong]

Bring on the Night by The Police.

That Paul Simon clip was great.

That Setzer Sleepwalk is way beyond anything I could I ever play.

I always loved The Rain Song which has a lot of ringing open notes (I can't even remember what crazy tuning it's in). Crazy Train is a fun left-hand exercise.

  • I've been having fun recently playing Get Lucky.
    Bm-D-F#m-E.
Can all be played with one finger.
