Cool flick.

More comedy than the other flicks and a retro music score that worked instead of the usual Generic Super-Hero Rock.

Nice to see Marvel get beyond Earth and love stories.

I grew up w/ this version......

70's Marvel Cosmic/Space shit is my shit......

Another great Marvel flick. I liked the soundtrack as well. It's amazing to see them have such hits with the Avengers and the offshoots and now this yet still screw up Spider Man so bad. Who runs that franchise Sony or someone? Marvel needs to get out of that contract and find someone who can finally do justice to that hero.

I heard spidey got pushed back......they lost money on it.
    too much love story......AGAIN.
id like to see Marvel reacquire spiderman.
there have been some positive moves from this latest franchise,
i do like the modern nerd/skaterboy/Peter instead of the 60s bookworm.

one of my grips with Guardians is that even with pacing being close to comics without too much blah blah blah, which is a good thang.......the overall story was mad simple/quick. its hard to intro/totally flesh out a team in 2 hours.

Saw it yesterday; thought the 3d-ness a bit underplayed.
    Film was vg/vg+
Fast paced, mostly good characters, couple of great ones.
Wanted to see Starlord bang the green broad, ok it's a step too far for a 12 film but still.
Man, how long were the credits? Jeebus.

It looks like a fun movie, not taking itself too seriously... [strike]still waiting on an HD stream for the Cap America winter soldier doe[/strike] :icegrill:

Found it, good flick. There was one scene that was unintentionally funny. Cap & "Falcon" are prisoners in the back of the armoured car, and one of the guards turns out to be a friendly member of S.H.I.E.L.D. When she takes off her helmet to reveal her identity, her hair is all messed up. Shot cuts to surprised Cap & Falcon, then straight back to her, and she has perfect hair like it's her super-power.

You just reminded me of this alien-human sex scene:

I copped the first two trades of the recent reboot from the library and love the new humorous take. Really geeked for the movie. I have "GIMME THE GROOT GIMME THE GROOT" on a loop in my head as I type this.

I'd quite like a green girlfriend (no Shrekette).
Where do they hang out? Can I be down?

    Saw it Saturday.

    Thought it was cool.

    Recommend.

  • Wife and I enjoyed it. Great soundtrack, good pacing, and worth our time. Ok, DC, time to step up your comic book movie game because Marvel owns you.
