The amount of conflicting info out there on Googles is daunting and most likely out dated, so thought I would consult the knowledgeable folk on here. I basically want DJ ready gear (not super audiophile gold) and the current method is this:
Technics 1210 with rubber mat and Shure Whitelabel into Serato SL2 box recorded hot as possible without going in the red.
Questionz
1) Should I use a different needle?
2) Should I normalise in Audacity? (and to what value / independent channels etc)
Any other general advice greatly appreciated
