    Regardless of your tastes in soul or interest in the "scene", it will likely be a good read.

    I have a family friend who was a northern soul OG. He was a radio DJ in northern England BITD playing soul and rock records. Dinky Dawson... I wonder if he'll get a mention. He then went on to be a roadie for Fleetwood Mac, Lou Reed, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Steely Dan, and some more. He's produced some of my mom's stuff the past few years so he's been a staple in our family. Dude is hilarious with the thickest British accent I've ever heard and has stories for days. Every year at Christmas, my grandfather says the same thing, "I just talked to Dinky for an hour and have no idea what he said!"
