It seems like the cost of all things Dj related seems to be sky rocketing. Is it justified? Are people buying this shit? I'd rather put $400 forward for equipment/records/etc...is it because they know DJ's don't "have" to spend money on records anymore? I'd love to hear from anyone wtih some insight on this shit...

Let me put it to you this way. You know that $400 DJ bag that just came out...Already ripping at the seems.
Seems to be less and less choice for "vinyl only" DJ's only these days too, but it's understandable given that vinyl is no longer the preferred format for the vast majority of DJ's these days.....
And why do manufacturer's STILL think DJ bags look good in camo?!
My DJ partner bought me this Burton bag for my bday like 4-5 years ago. I keep it stuffed with records, laptop, laptop charger, iPad Mini, power strips, various cords, headphones, needles, business cards, condoms, earplugs, Excedrin Migraine pills, iPhone chargers, markers and every other DJ-related item you can imagine and it STILL holds up great. I also dump the DJ stuff and use it as my carry-on bag when I travel, though a few months ago I forgot to take the needles and Gruv Glide out of their compartment and had Disneyland police interrogate me when I tried to take my bag in the park (had our jackets in it).
Anyways, not sure if they make 'em anymore. Hope mine never gives out on me!
YES! Those Burton bags were the shit! I remember using a couple iterations of them. Also not sure if they're in production anymore but I seriously doubt it.
Yeah who wants Michael Jordan's name all over basketball shoes anyways?
If you don't like it, don't buy. That's your choice, but don't complain. Knocking a fellow strutters business that makes quality gear for other DJ's is pretty weak.
I'd rather have a $200 bag that works time after time than something that falls apart and costs a fraction of the price. I don't know though, maybe you grew up wearing wal-mart Shaq shoes. Oh wait, they have his name on it.

It just perception. And ego maybe. Did you used to see many NBA players wearing Jordan gear during the 90s? I don't know the answer to that; I'm guessing no. I'm guessing some folks here could see Cosmo as too much of an equal to sport his name. I think some of you probably know the dude, too!
