Long time strut lurker from Ansterdam

I've been looking for a while to get my AV setup ready. (5.1 etc). But want to have a good stereo setup as well

This is the receiver I want to get.

I'm looking for some speakers. Been on the internet, checked magazines
All seem to cater to classical or Rock music

Are there any quality speakers for rap music or electronic music in general.

I'm not on some high end audiophile break the bank equipment (check the link) but I'm willing to spend on some good speakers (max ??? 2000 on speakers )

What audio setup has the strut in their home and are there some recommendations, links etc I can check?

    er woont een servi??r in amsterdam die speakers bouwt. hij heeft de speakers van o.a. de duivel gemaakt!!!
    ik kan z'n no. wel opzoeken maar ga ik hier niet on-line zetten. hij vraagt niet teveel en kan naar elke ruimte en behoefte leveren.
    btw, zoek eens naar een Inkel versterker op markt plaats.

    Mijn stamcafe alhoewel ik de laatste jaren daar minder ben.

    Denk dat speakers die zelf gebouwd worden boven mijn budget gaan. (Ben nu ook meer aan het ori??nteren.ben van plan om te verhuizen) Ook wil ik liever een speakerset.
    5.1 setje en een stereoset. Het liefst van dezelfde fabrikamt.
    Over die Inkel versterkers. Dat lijkt me interessant. Wat maakt ze goed?

    I primarily know about vintage gear, but I was recently allowed to borrow some Thiel CS1.5 speakers and they're blowing my mind. They're bass reproduction won't rock a club, but they put out quite a bit for a small footprint. They make jazz sound like it's live in front of me.

    A friend has some Yamaha NS10 monitors that sound great.

    Back when I listened to more hip-hop, I had some JBL Northridge ND310 models that sounded really good with lots of bass.

    I like vintage amps because of the quality you get for the price, and I don't mind doing some repairs.

    With that kind of budget, I'd just go to a high end stereo shop and ask for their recommendations.

    I recently bought a pair of Zu speakers from the US and they sound sweet.



    Also bought a Linn sondek lp12 turntable with a moving coil cartridge and a chinese tube amp. I am hearing music with new ears.

    Will look into your reccomendations.

    I used to listen as everybody on this site I think on my parents stereoset, then to the walkman,minidisc shitty miniset I still have and finaly the mp3 player.

    I'm not going crazy audiophile(wish I could!) But would love to hear some nuances in the music. I think Kanye's Late Registration was superbly mixed. As A Tribe Called Quest & Roots recordings (Bob Powers)

    Also will listen to Jazz,Funk, Soul etc

    This is how I'm planning my setup;

    On the HDMI inputs on the receiver I'm connecting my
    PS3, mediaplayer,NAS and TV Cable settop box
    HDMI output directly to the TV.
    As I Have a HDMI (ARC) port meaning audio goes back bia the same cable to the receiver. So I can get my DTS-HD on.
