Something I Didn't Know About The Meters

Well, butter my ass and call me a corncob.As many times as I've heard the Meters' mighty "Tippi Toes," I'm just now catching on that the chorus is a takeoff on "Tip-Toe Through The Tulips." It was the chicken-scratch guitar lick that gave it away, as subtle as it is. Which makes this the only other soul adaptation of this song I can think of, besides Senor Soul (which I have yet to hear - I understand their version isn't good or bad so much as it is WEIRD, like a questionable idea that sounds exactly as odd as you'd think).
