    I actually really like the Rod Stewart/Jeff Beck version of "People Get Ready" that was a hit in the 80's...to be honest (and this is one of those "oh no he didn't just say that" things), it was the first version of that song I remember hearing...I had probably heard the OG as a kid, but in 1985, when I was 14, I didn't remember any other versions, and just really dug the Stewart/Beck cover...a couple years later, when I bought an old Impressions LP and heard the OG, I was like "aahhhhhhhh!!!"
