Not essential but the best sounding Soul and/or Funk you've heard since you starting getting up with records.
These are the ones I've heard that don't turn up much (and fetch Reynaldo-like prices) that I think are among the greats.
East of Underground
Magnum -- Fully Loaded
Turner Bros. -- Act 1
Bobby Boyd Congress
Quinn Harris & Masterminds -- All In The Soul
I know I'm missing a lot here so please add on..

I also like Fully Loaded!
McNeal and Niles - Thrust
Rhythm Machine - S/T
Rabbits and Carrots
Hot Chocolate (not really that into this one, actually)
Two Sisters From Bagdad
ackackack!
This is Soul or Funk? Can you tell me more about these ones?
Rabbits and Carrots is psych/funk from Mexico (at least one LP and one EP I believe). Two Sisters is actually not a funk album per se, but it has enough funk on it to make it highly desirable, at least 'round these parts. I've already said too much.
Strictly a one tracker, but MAN! What a BLAZING Track! Completely insane.

Reynaldo???
I need this in my life.
good luck finding that one.
anyone have a clip of 'those were the days'?
I know someone who has a copy, but I don't think he's selling. Someone offered him something like 300-400 bucks and he said no. Crazy! I also need this in my life. It sounds bananas on the sound system.
Can someone post some clips of this?
Amazing music and a real solid album.
Here's a funny story. Eramus Hall appeared in a lot of Prince and Thelma Houston LPs not too long a go. Not really knowing it was a big ticket item, I through $17 at the lot for kicks and barely lost. I then later found out Bestsoundrecords got $400 for it!!???
Fast fwd a few months, the same lot pops up on eBay. It gets the dead beat bidder relistand I win at $4.99
It's floating around on souleek.. Great modern record, indeed.
DAMNNN 4.99?
"It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the Sale of the fucking Century!"
I got a 12" from dude and I didn't think is was particularly mindblowing.
I mean I know its a raer LP but is it really $400 raer?
Hands down, one of the dopest album covers of all time.
I've seen it go for 200 a few times. I love the album. I think some would hate on it tho.
Don't forget his output on Hi. Just as good as these... Not as raer though I guess. I'm getting this thread confused with the other one.
true, but not this fonky
