I was reading into the audiophile needles post, and a couple people mentioned standalone phono preamps, I wondered if anyone has a good recommendation for a good quality, but not really expensive preamp.I am looking to get improved sound quality for samples that I record from vinyl into my MPC/computer.I have a NIKKO NR-520 am/fm stereo receiver that I am currently using, and I know there are much better options out there. If anyone knows anything about this topic, or has some suggestions to point me in the right direction, that would be excellent..thanks

Do you have a proper amp for the final signal?
If you are just looking to boost the signal from the phono to the final amp, you might just need something like a Rolls phono preamp.

    about $30 or so
