Damn, this cat Nigel could make Leo Sayer sound good. At least 2 or 3 beautiful songs in "Chaos and creation in the backyard". Sir Paul's best record in ages.OK, it's not funk, not soul, not rap. Sue me, or worst, take me to ANNOUNCEMENTS.

this reminds me i have to listen to the 25th anniversary edition of band on the run.

goodrich on the otherhand???? most over rated producer on the planet if you ask me.

seems to make any record sound sleepy and lethargic.

  • Yeah, best effort for a good while from Macca and I think that's down to Godrich just saying 'no' to weaker songs rather than any huge change in production style. It just feels a bit more substantial than other stuff that he's done in the last, well, 30 years. For me there's some dross on that album too but the good numbers are really good.
