NY folls - renting DJ equipment?

Just got this email from a friend of mine. Ayers already mentioned renting from Mendez so any other other suggestions would help.

"So here's the details
I'm djing at our showroom in manhattan from 5pm to 9pm Tuesday September
20th, it's a fashion show kinda thing.
I can trade for (Pony) gear or pay (but it's all coming out of my pocket seen,
well the gear isn't)
I just need two tables, and possibly one powered speaker, they have a built
in sound system there so, I might not need sound."

    Tom Delay just hooked me up. Also Scratch DJ Academy rents. There is another option but it is shady.

    Delay is that dewd. Plus, his flight cases have exciting outernational stickers on them 'cause he gets down (and around) like that.

    We rent stuff out of my shop, and have powered speakers as well. We've done mad cheapo rentals for like $50. Let me know. We got lights too.
