How do I start a message board?

I'm not sure where to start...Are there any programs like blogspot that will walk you through the process of assembling one? Any advice regarding server space and bandwith?I would like to do a gossip/message board for folks in my industry...When it finally launches, try not to cross-pollinate when SoulStrut is down, please.

if you want to create a free one just hit up http://www.ezboard.com/, they'll walk you through it. but be forewarned, you're gonna have to deal with a ton of pop ups, banners, etc.

if you want to create some real shit, get a server with mysql and check http://www.phpbb.com/, which is a little more of a confusing set up, but just takes some patience.

The real question is, are you going to adopt some sort of spiced-up version of coselmed (coselmed plus, if you will) that will be more outspoken with considerably more "fuck me" eyes cast at wayward lurkers on this new message board?
