Volume smoother please....

Does anyone have an easy solution to make all my songs sound the same volume level when I burn a CD?I am compiling songs from CD's, vinyl, MP3 downloads, etc...I know this has been an age old problem.I am on a Mac running latest 10.3 system. I use toast to burn.Thanks in advance.

    Look for a "Normalize" function on your apps



    Some things don't sound too good once you run that though.

    Yeah iTunes has a sort of "normalizer" but I think it's more like a gate that is applied to the output of iTunes. I think that when I burn a CD, it reads from the original MP3 file and therefore the normalization does not translate to the finished CD.

    To my knowledge, Toast does not have a normalize function.
