I spent a lot of time in high school and uni listening to Sly and the Family Stone, and it goes without saying that the band was tiiiiite. RIP to an underappreciated soul.

Yes, Miss Robinson was an integral part of a groundbreaking group. Her trumpet lines can be heard on many Sly and the Family Stone classics (e.g., the bridge in "Running Away" comes to mind off top). RIP, Miss Robinson. You will live forever through your musical contributions.
