    An attorney at work, after she knew I had a record collection and occasionally DJ, asked me if I did any scratching. "You know, because that's what people come out to see." (makes waving motion with hand and throaty noise to indicate a record is being scratched).

    Me: "Nope. I just drop the needle and crossfade from one record to the other."

    Her: "Oh, that's no fun. You should learn how to scratch."

    Well at least it's now in the open so I can say it now. Cos, my big problem last week was that some crazy girl in LA said you weren't a real DJ. I was like "word?" and she was like "dildo" and I was like "cosine" and she was like "take your cell phone back I don't know this guy"

    Definitely coming back to ModChicago next year but that's not til next summer. Cowbwoy just emailed me about going up there in December though - not sure what's going on with that. Maybe it's for Eric Reidelberger's new night. In any event, I wanna hit Milwaukee next time I'm in that area, and I wanna make sure to catch that Sheer Magic joint too. It would be great to see the Lucked one in addition to the usual cast of SoulStrut characters - ya'll definitely rep SS deep up there.

    naw man, people go to weddings to hear scratching. people go to clubs to see DJs do body tricks.
