I can't show this man enough respect. It feels likes he plays on about 15% of my collecttion which in turn led to the discovery, directly or indirectly, of the other 85%
Man, this is tough to learn. Hearing him on Melvin Sparks "Who's Gonna Take The Weight" opened and changed my whole concept of drumming as a 15 year old - in my own playing and in the music I sought out after that. Him and Bernard Purdie's Soul Drums. Like many of you all the root of my music collection and taste is Muhammad.
