TOO MANY CHOICES TO CHOOSE FROM

  • Still gotta listen more, but I'm already way more into the whole album approach. Nice work everyone.

Came down to Hayes Days and Hot & Heavy for me. Not the biggest fan of the drums on Hayes Days, but the fuzz guitar and the outro tipped the scale.

  • Solid work all around. My vote goes to Time Walks By...very well executed and sounds pro as hell.

Before I even listen, I'm giving the Best Title crown to Cold Margarine.

OK, now it's time to listen to these joints.

Honorable Mention to Hot Butter on the What?

Not sure why people are voting for Time Walks By though.

    Same ole Strut...smh.

    No love for Cold Margarine?

Really good standard of entries. I agree that expanding the brief out to include an entire album is the move.

I dunno if anyone saw this when it was doing the rounds a week or so back - Four Tet makes a beat in ten minutes using needledrops from Thriller. Needless to say, this isn't Kieran's finest work, but it does sound like him.

Maybe the next beat-off could be an OTW vs. Thriller special?

That above beat is terrible, but Doc's idea is a good one to put in our back pocket. Ends in 2 days!

No, it's not. I understand it's got to be material that everyone has to be able to get their hands on. But we aren't doing the score to the next episode of Mall Dancing with Barbie.

I hear that, but also think foos can pull it off.

After MJ passed away, we did a semester of redoing his songs in our afterschool program and it was the lamest semester by a million miles.

Granted, I too think the Strut could do much much better with it, but still.

And since I've been griping so much, please allow me to also say that these contests are now my favorite part of this site.

    Thanks, The Non.

  • Great work by everyone who contributed - it was a tough choice between Hayes Days and Hot Butter... both of those were :face_melt:
