just revisited this one and it is just so killer, but when i look on the net it doesn't seem to generate must interest, much like the preceding universal jones vol. 1.
it's the best thing he did imho, even better than headless heroes (which he name czechs in "honey can you know"). more in the romantic than righteous and cynical mode but it's excellent from front to back. it's basically the roberta flack "feels like making love band" of idris, bob james, gary king, ralph macdonald, victor feldman, tom scott, richard t, etc. who create an incredibly tasteful colours and textures. the arrangements, mostly done by king, are top shelf (what other albums has he done arrangements on from this era?). i have heard a lot of people say eugene couldn't sing for shit, but he really hits all the right notes here, sort of soaring vibe,
