Akai Floppys to Mac?

I know this is dumb, but I've tried internet searches and can't find much useful info. There used to be an old MPC converter program but I can't find a new one.
I have a bunch of old Akai floppies I want to get onto my Mac. I bought a USB floppy disk drive and I can get the file off the disk onto the mac but it's an M4P file and I can't seem to find a converter to open it.
Any help would be great. Thanks!
