So lately I've been having frustrating as **** skipping problems with a Technics 1200 MK2 (bought used, probably less than 5 years old): I have (for now) Stanton Trackmaster 1 needlesI jack the anti-skating (I've been informed by 2 engineers that anti-skating should match the weight of the needle)I've tried a couple of different heights for the tone-arm assembly (at 4 right now) ...Anyone have any tips ... best needles, weight/anti-skate combination, height of tonearm assembly, perhaps any experience with various parts degrading over time.Don't make me launch a Tech 12 into the God Damned river.** And lets think POSITIVELY for the future of New Orleans birthplace of FUNK **

    I would check:

    1 - turntable level
    2- tonearm's bearings
