I asked the experts at VE and go -0- response. Anyone know anything about this 12"? Group is Original Three. There is no label listed, catalog # is AVL 89155. Songs are "Hellfire" and "Not Just Another MC". Gold colored label, old school hip hop. Anyone got any info on this 12"? Thanks in advance. PeaceT.N.

I don't know anything about the Original Three record but I just found something in a collection I bought a couple days ago that people might get a kick out of. Monteque feat. DJ Hook.




Yup, they're rapping over a loop of Chic's Good Times. When I first put it on and glanced at the label, I thought I saw a 1982 copyright, so I was kind of chuckling thinking that they were 3 years behind the times down in Baton Rouge. Then I flipped it over and heard a beat that sounded almost exactly like EPMD's You Gots To Chill, so for a second I was like Then I realized that the record came out in 1992, which is funny in its own way. Have other people come across a lot of local 12"s that directly bite popular hip hop songs like that?
