lugging a piano up a flight of stairs

there's a nice upright yamaha i can have, as long as i can figure out how to get it up a flight of stairs. has anyone attempted something like this, and can give me tips on how to get it up there in one piece? good looks in advance...

    yeah, I don't know about that...considering that many professional moving companies won't handle pianos and make you use a piano-moving specialist, I think you may need to find out the cost of having it brought in by pros, and decide if it is worth it to you. Trying to do it alone could leave you with injured friends and a busted piano.
