Please help me ID a song (Disco R)

Late 70's, early 1980's (not younger than 1980 though, it was played during the summer of 1980) Disco song, female singer, with echo and/or reverb in it, kind of fast paced disco and the lyrics went along the lines of "I could never never" or "I could ever ever". Must've been kind of a big hit, I am clueless and it's been killing me....please help a strutter out....
