dont know how I missed this for so many years...killer band, beautifully shot. Easily some of the best 60s soul footage I have ever seen

    Really great. So restrained.
His backup singers are holding horns, but don't seem to ever play them.

  • The back-up singers sure knows how to play...

The hornplayers / back-up singers later became the Lovemen on Rojac / Tayster. Chuck-a-Luck who recorded with the Lovemen is the bass player / band leader in this clip. His name was Charles Whitworth. The Lovemen later moved from NYC to LA and became known as Love Togetherness & Devotion, LTD who recorded several albums.

    That was great. Great arrangement.

  • This is GREAT.

Reminds me of the Stax tour footage.
