Recommendations For Stubborn Record Dudes (eBayRR)

So I've been dealing with this guy who has some dynamite stuff I picked through recently. Problem is he wants to check everything on eBay to check their prices. He's willing to sell for less, but his proclaimed ignorance of record prices makes it impossible to sell em straight off to me. I offered him a nice price for each one ($5 per, they're not all worth $5 per, some less, some more, some a lot more) I've offered a bulk price, organizing his records into genres for a price break(he has a zillion 12" he knows -0- about), help him with construction on his house, nada. Anyone have any further suggestions? I'm open (NoAYYO). Thanks and peaceT.N.

It's all about the vices. Does he like drugs? Hook him up. Porn? Find a connection for the good stuff--whatever that may be (and don't ask me, it's not like i would know or anything). What about a some cigars? Golf clubs? A new car? Maybe he wants someone to give him a massage? With release? Maybe he wants a backyard smoker for his bbq? Maybe he's a sucker for durians but can't get a reliable source like he during his days in malaysia. What about mail order brides? Usually guys with lots of good records are in need of some companionship. Escorts probably work well, too. You could bring some nice ladies with you to the next negotiation.

Ok, I hope I've been helpful.

PS Maybe he wants some posters?

It's hard to ge them to budge once you've paid the lowerthanebay high price to them individually - you kind of fucked yourself there. Offering someone a higher and higher price over time (not just an initial bartering session) tends to scare 'em away. Treat it like you'll never get back there.

Best thing to do (if you think the guy is honest and will actually sell you the stuff) is put them in piles - I'll gvie you $50 each for these (sneak a couple duds in there, and a couple goodies over to the cheap pile just to mask stuff), $20 for these, and.....$2 for these. I might actually work out to $5 per, but it seems more 'cause your giving him good coin for some of them. Might not help you now, but maybe the next time.

Thanks guys, you got me going in directions I hadn't thought of. I wish poster raer would work on this guy, but he's stubborn. Mail order bride might work (naw), masking might work, got my mind flexing in alternate directions. I'm always of the cloth that money talks, but some dudes are just hard to get at. I know another guy that is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more difficult than this dude. I've guaranteed him $500-$1000 to check out the storehouse and he won't budge. This guy MADE me learn that money can't buy EVERYTHING.

    Thanks again
    Peace
