I was just listening to this:

Not the greatest lp design, but it sure is iconic and got me wondering about the artist.
Burt did not have the most distinctive, or original style, but he was good*.

great photographer.

Getting his David Stone Martin on.

Modern

Here is a gallery of his DSMesque stuff
http://www.albumcoverartists.com/goldblattgallery.html

And most all those great Bethlehem photo covers, including Nina Simone were him.
I didn't find any other paintings in the style of the Robert Johnson one.

*Rereading that, I have to say these samples are great.
In terms of fame he certainly is in the shadow of DSM and Wolff, and perhaps justly, I don't know.

Thank you google.

Great example of this type of art that DSM was known for.
The artist shows the image over time, instead of just a snap shot of time.

I did find a few more painted ones, like the Robert Johnson.
All very much the same, blues musician and chair.
Bill Broonzy for Scepter, I don't think I had ever seen the record.
    Sidney Bechet
    and a few more.

And here I was thinking that the Broonzy was a ripoff of the Johnson. Turns out dude was plagiarizing himself.

Now that you mention it, I seem to remember seeing Burt Goldblatt's name on Scepter/Wand covers, but can't remember which at the moment.
