OK, I am now emboldened by the discussion over in Rock's Soul Strut Improvement thread, I won't make too much of a habit of this...

Have a soulful Xmas with this new 45 release from Academy/Voodoo Funk!

This is a reissue of an incredibly rare, barely known Ghanaian 45 from the early 70s that features two original and great Xmas tunes. The thing is, these two tunes sound great any time of year! But they may be of special interest to DJs who are desperate to have Xmas tunes to spin that don't actually make them (and the audience) cringe.

Written, arranged and produced by the legendary Kwadwo Donkoh, who was the driving force behind the Uhuru Dance Band and the Agoro record label. The original release is so obscure that he didn't even remember doing it until I called him to license it. Issued in a beautiful, festive PACS.

The A-side is a deep Afro-funk workout, sung by the incendiary Pee Pee Dynamite:

A Groovy Christmas and New Year

The B-side is a bluesy, late-night number:

The Soul of Christmas

As with all of the 45s in the legendary Academy 'ASS' series, these are limited to 1000 copies.

$7 plus shipping, can be gript thusly:
