Name some bands who added a lead singer presumably to achieve commercial success:

    I took this thread to mean added and/or replaced an earlier lead vocalist. EWF, Journey, and KATG all did more or less the same thing.

    I suppose most long lived vocal groups had lead singers come and go, but the above groups stand out for the high profile of their lead singers.
