Here's a handy little point system that will help predict or explain the success or failure of your DJ events. Just brainstorming some criteria here, feel free to add on

+1 per normal guy, drinking at the bar
+3 per couple drinking at the bar
+4 per gal drinking at the bar
+8 attractive gal at bar

-7 per obnoxious, shitfaced, or creepy guy/gal drinking at bar
+5 per foreigner on holiday

+2 per normal guy on dance floor
+4 per cool guy on dance floor
+10 per normal gal on dance floor
+14 per cool gal on dance floor
+20 per attractive gal on dance floor

+10 good weather
-18 bad weather

-2 inept bartender
+5 cool bartender
+9 sexy bartender

+7 beer/booze sponsorship
-4 laming up your flyer/event with corporate logos
+6 having a good flyer
-5 having an awesome flyer that gets stolen right away

-7 per dude watching dance floor from periphery
-25 dude accosting women with unsolicited dance floor moves (per incident)
-3 people "funny" dancing
-10 for every "worm" that is performed
-20 per out of control bachelorette party

-12 flatscreen TV playing Sportscenter on mute
+5 flatscreen TV playing obscure or interesting movies on mute
+9 no TV

+/- 0 for the music being played, which seemingly has no bearing on anything.

+ 10 local soccer, icehockey or basketball team celebrating a victory at your party
-15 party is at the end of the month
+15 party is at the beginning of the month
