Welcome to the latest installment of the Happy Jazz Show sponsored by Gama Clothing .
Welcome to the September edition of the Happy Jazz show.
Part 1 is packed with heat! OK, slight exaggeration, I mean music from countries that are hotter than the UK (which is not that difficult I guess). Anyway, before I lose my thread, we start the hour off with some vintage Afro & Latin and some Caribbean spice thrown in for good measure. We take a brief look at a couple of Ethiopian tunes (mind the crackles) and a nice run of some Brazilian. There is some crazy music from Haiti and Gospel soul from the Bahama's. Quite a rapid selection all in all - come prepared with a change of clothes.
Part 2 - Starting off the first half hour of the show with jazz from Danny Long, David E. Tillman & Andy Potter, Gino Vannelli, Ojeda Penn.
Second half of the show focuses more on new releases and promo edits. Tracks from La Homage, Jimi Bazzouka, K54 and a remix of a John Stammers track, who some music journalists are touting as the new Nick Drake!
