The money getter motherfuckers don't have better
Rolex watches and colourful Swatches
I'm digging in pockets, motherfuckers can't stop it"

i always thought the usage of "beretta" was referring to this:

as opposed to this:

  • At one point I had the exact same misunderstanding. Can't remember what set it straight. Attribute said misunderstanding to my short attention span when it comes to listening to people bragging.

  • as a youngster [of maybe 6 or 7], i thought the van halen song "panama" was actually "cannonball".

to this day, whenever jumping into a pool i have the uncontrollable urge to yell "dweedoodoo dweedoo doo DOOOOoo..... CANNONBALL!".

    edit #2: yes, i am a 30 yr old.

  • Japan-related, but I thought Ken Hirai's "pop star" actually went along the lines of " I wanna be a porn star" >.
I guess that can be attributed to j-english....

  • i used to think jeff beck's "head for backstage pass" meant that the person is supposed to go to the ticket booth to pick up the pass....

I've listened to Watch The Throne all the way through seventeen times already.

  • Don't know why my young adolescent mind turned Def Leppard's "Pour some sugar on me" into ... "Boys town, she'll be down, yeah" like some bizarre game of telephone.

I would think nothing of wearing cut-off-at-the-knee DIY denim shorts (a la Arnold, not Britney) and a faux-fur coat to go digging.

  • For years, that bit in Grandmaster Flash's Adventures on the Wheels of Steel when the guy goes "I'm gonna tell you the story of my life" I thought the kid went "what happened to the tree?" instead of "what happened in between?" I made a right tit of myself once when me and the dudes were singing along to it (singing along to a cut and paste mix?)

  • i pronounced Constantinople "khan-stan-teen-oh-plee" until i was corrected half way through a one hour presentation on the armenian genocide by the young turks.

i stuck to my guns stating 'that's the way i say it, okay?'.... and then immediately reformed myself afterwards.... even going as far as correcting others who botched it.

  • as i type this, there is a girl in the greater toronto area who thinks she had a one-night stand last month wiith the guy who invented angry birds.

I believe I've posted this here before, but as a young youth reading teh comic books, I would see the word "chaos" from time to time. I knew the word "chaos" to hear it and say it, but I didn't know how it was spelled, and reading it, I didn't put two and two together. So while I knew what chaos was, I thought there was this other thing as well pronounced cha-oes (cha as in cha cha cha, oes as in Cheeri-oes), which from context I thought was some sort of crazy, badass thing that happened when superheroes duked it out in a big fight.

Believe, that is where the coin is. Recently-laid-off brother got in touch with a friend who'd been laid off 6 months before. They were both working for THQ before the arse fell out of the West. Anyway, my brother is thinking of setting up on his own with some of the better guys, so offers this geezer some work.

Geezer says no thanks - he wrote a little game on his own, in his time off, just like "Galaxians" or something where the enemy ships are dictated by what tunes your device is playing at the same time. It cost him not a lot to publish it out there, he had been hoping to recoup these costs.

Did ??3M in the first 6 months.

Dude is now in the "Laughing his cock off" business.

in "Stairway to heaven" I thought the lyric "If you listen very hard, the truth will come to you at last" was "if you listen very hard, the jew will bother you a lot"

I sometimes have to think a minute before I say Coogi (which is about once a year).

That's hilarious. My first thought when reading this thread was about my friend who'd always assumed the lyrics were:

    Dirty deeds, THUNDER CHEESE!

When I was 15, I mixed a little bit of weed with Newport tobacco, rolled it into joints, and sold them to a 14-year-old acquaintance. He never knew the difference until I told him years later.

    I regret nothing.

Yeah, I figure with the super strong skunk that's around these days kids must be doing this kind of thing all the time, passing it off as some homegrown or 'bushweed' or whatever.

When I was 12, green was very hard to come by and almost everybody had solids. If Rodney had been up on his ish, he would have been sus that I had any to sell at all, let alone that it smelt like pizza.
