    Gillian Welch is so great. No one can write new old songs like her.
    I think she was more than a little inspired by John Hurt there.

    Dan, did you see Gillian the other night? She killed the Roseland. You could hear a pin drop during her version of Hard Times from the new album. It was beyond sublime.

    I did not, but I am glad she killed the Roseland because that place needs to be killed.
    I have no plans to ever set foot in that hellhole again.
