Help me identify/remember a funk epic

Believe me I'd take this to the breaks.com if I could just remember the damn title/lyrics. Its about an 8 minute song and the chorus goes something like "I see heaven in your eyyyyyees"...the song really sounds like its got a House sort of vibe, like it's ahead of its time. I'm not sure where I heard it first, may have been a DJ Spinna compilation....or moodymann or something?? but I do remember seeing it on youtube a few years back so it can't too obscure. Im guessing it came out in the 70s. Please help, I've spent hours going through my stuff and no dice. Oh, and its not that "Messages from the stars" song which oddly reminds me of it. Help and thanks!

    OH MY GOD, thanks thanks thanks thanks! I was depressed 10 minutes ago thinking id never heard this song again in my life. now I'm gonna repeat it for the rest of my life and commit it to memory! A thousand thanks elise!
