old school snail mail record auctions

anybody else do these? Some amazing deals to be found, but the wait on the mail to see what I won is torture. Spoiled by the instant gratification on ebay I suppose. Just interested if anyone else likes these.

    Are you talking about buying at an auction with an auctioneer...or something else?

    no. an auction that you mail your bids in before the auction end date, you get a reply saying which records you won, you mail them your money, you get your records. Usually they put out printed hard-copy catalogs of the records up for auction, or take out ads in magazines.
