This is incredible!
The double LP vinyl version came out a few weeks ago and now I just got the CD... with a book (-let) boasting no less than 80 (!) pages.
Uchenna Ikonne from Comb & Razor put this together with incredible care and the unique insight of someone who grew up in Lagos in the late 70 and all through the 80s so he actually remembers this stuff being played on the radio. He spent months tracking down all of the artists personally and licensed every single track directly and not utilizing any of the clearing houses like Ivory or Premier. The love and knowledge he put into this release is unparalleled and while I know we're not supposed to plug releases here, I thought I just have to put the word out!
