just Found a Spoonie Gee 12" at a local thrift (2 for a quarter)problem is it says "Spoonin rap" by "Spoonin G" and it looks kinda new.plus the shrink is still on it and it has the crease on the back of the plasticBut...It is in a plain white Sleeve that is cut out (do they still do that?) that looks kinda old...and it was rescued from a busted ass thrift store (I'm not sure they "stock" re-issues)what do ya'll think, an OG or not an OG...I've got another copy that is an early press, and it has a silver lable and an orange cover, this joint looks kinda grey any help would be appreciated...BTW I'm up in Vermont, so NYC proximity may help a stray copy sneak it's way to the Green Mountains...Thanks

  • Sound of New York label yeah?

I think there is about 4 variations with that 12". So it can get confusing.
And there are a tonne of tracks using the same rhythm.

  • yeah, Most def...

    SOUND OF
    NEW YORK

that's the real thing. they released it in 5 or 6 different label colors, as well as colored vinyl which is the hardest version to find.
