Looking into grabbing this record - any good? If it helps, my favorite recording of Blakey's is "Free For All". This is no a .Thanks.

    I'm not a huge blakey fan, a little buzy for me. And I don't specifcally recall the record in question. But I think the list of bad Blakey records is very short.

    If I remember correctly the record you are looking at features some Nigerian talking drums. But you would already know that from looking at the liner notes.

    that's the 70s reissue if you didn't know which i doubt.

    Looking for the lil' dude emoticon, but looks like it isn't available (although applicable). I had no idea that the one in question was a re-issue, but I didn't plan on purchasing that one - just wanted to throw up a picture in order to get responses (kinda like with kids...).

    Anyway, thanks for the knowledge. Anyone else want to weigh in seeing as I can't hear it first? Worth looking out for...

    www.allmusic.com gave it two and a half stars. Not that I agree with all their ratings but its a good source.
