    I loved X-Ray Spex and still have their album and a few 7"s. There was just a review of her latest pop album on NPR and they mentioned that a U.S. tour was postponned because she had cancer. Didn't know it was this bad. What a loss.

    Such a bummer, 53 is way too young to pass. She was so unique, with her and Ari Up both gone in that last year how many truly original sounding singers from that era are left?

    very surreal, i was thinking about picking up her new album today when I found out...Her daughter is also involved in music and in a band called Debutante Disco.

    Germ Free Adolescents is such an amazing album, so strange and full of energy... it may be my favorite UK punk LP...
