Yeah, The Eagles.

Grew up on that schitt.

All the played out hits make me sick, but they wrote some bangers and their live performance sound was tight as hell.

1. Journey Of The Sorcerer
2. Witchy Woman
3. Too Many Hands (or) On The Border

    Take It Easy

But everytime the wife puts them on, I think I should have a gun-rack.

...grew up in the white trash side of OKC. One of my friends grew up to be a interior decorator for white trash memorabilia (Bocephus posters, Confederate flags, Harley junk, etc.) Eagles music defined my childhood, but not my adulthood.

    I know what you mean.

Some tracks I could go a lifetime without ever hearing again... not cause I hate the tune exactly, but cause I'm so sick of hearing it. i.e. Hotel California, Life In The Fast Lane, Take It Easy.

The Eagles are contenders for the worst band in the history of history. BAN. ALL OF YOU.

I think I'm more offended by the existence of this thread than soulone's favourite Abba song.

At least he was only asking for one suggestion per poster.

The closest I'll ever come to listening to the Eagles is the James Gang.

    For the most part this^^^^^^^

I can still listen to these although the original of Outlaw Man by David Blue is superior.

Glen Fry and Don Henley made the Eagles the quintessential douche bag California band.

It's the other members who were the real unsung hereos. Don Felder, Randy Meisner, & Bernie Leadon... even the the unofficial member JD Souther.

    Randy Meisner is my shit.

"Take it to the Limit" is one of the most beautiful, honest vocal performances I've ever heard:

Also like "Try and Love Again"

The Don Felder book is a great read also.

I've always hated the Eagles, and especially "Hotel California"... the only track I can stand is "One of These Nights," and I only like the last half.

When I was 17 I hitchhiked to Santa Fe.
Lived for a while in a porno theater.
Other guy who lived there had a massive sound system set up in the ticket/concession booth.
He had 3 records, Duane Allman, that first Eagles one, and I forget the other.
    Loved that record.

Got back home in the fall. Mentioned the Eagles to my girlfriend. She informed me that her little sister liked them, worse insult ever.
I never mentioned the Eagles again.

    Desperado
    Tequila Sunrise
    Take It Easy

Not much of a fan of the James Gang, but I liked this thing:

Here here Raj. I was gonna post "Take It To The Limit" too but your description gets to the heart of the matter.

I also like the guitarmony part on the live version of Hotel California.

Can't believe no one has mentioned this yet. Just totally blew my mind when i saw it in the theater.

Didn't have an ACL Festival ticket this past year, but that didn't stop me from riding my bike down to Zilker Park and sitting outside the fence on the lawn with some other old folks just to hear the Eagles headlining.

    b/w

    I left about halfway through.
