    Me too. Nobody was funkier.
    Terrible news. I'm glad I was able to meet him.
    I wonder what happened? He was gigging consistently and even had a show scheduled for tomorrow.

    I just saw him last thursday at my local restaurant. He plays w a Jazz group every thursday nite.

    I didnt even know it was him until i came down tonite and heard some legend pased away.

    His solos were off the hook.

    very sad news. He was truly a master musician. I was lucky to catch him twice in Middletown CT. He played with a close friend of mine and they were incredible. Classic soul jazz trio with organ, drums, and him killing it on guitar. Pure fire. He did record some stuff last year in New York with my friend that hopefully will come out at some point.
