Turntable problem

One of the 1200s at one of the bars I play at has a wonky pitch slider. Sometimes when it's pitched up I'll barely touch it and the pitch drops. Would canned air or contact spray possibly help this situation?

it needs to be recalibrated. weird pitch jumping and warbling is caused by a couple things, zero point is out or pitch movement is out of line (with the zero point). recalibration is pretty easy, there's a bunch of how-to videos on youtube. if you've got a powered screwdriver or drill and a few basic tools, you can go in 1/2 hour before your next gig and fix it. no new parts are required.

yes, cleaning will always be a good thing, but will probably not fix the issue. easy on the contact spray, that shit can gum up in there w/ dust, etc.
