This film is co-directed by Ron "Amen Ra" Lawrence formerly of Two Kings In a Cipher & Bad Boy's Hitmen and is an overview of hip-hop pioneers - DJs/sound systems/emcees/promoters - in NYC outside the Bronx. Lotta incredible footage, flix & audio from BITD. An eye opening alternate history of hip-hop's early days. Sure to spark much debate.

For those not familiar, White Lines took home honors for documentary short at both SXSW and Tribeca last year. It doesn't screen publicly too often, so do try to come check it.

In addition to White Lines & the Fever: The Death of DJ Junebug, tomorrow night we're showing SBX! Holding Down the Tradition as well. Some of you are probably already familiar w/ the film, as well as the famous 1989 Lord Finesse/Percee P rhyme battle that inspired the best known scene of the movie. Lord Finesse shared some vivid memories about it all w/ us. Enjoy! http://bit.ly/dKb8tm
