Hi Soul Strut, Since this is my first post, I'll introduce myself. I'm Mickey Perez, an American born Latin kid that DJ's in London for the love of getting people to get down. I play anywhere from Soul, Funk, Afro-Cuban Funk, Afro Beat, Disco, Salsa, Boogaloo, House, Hip Hop, blah, blah, blah to put it short I just love good music and I love playing it even more. I'm not sure if this Ron Hardy recording has already been posted, if it had then my apologies for wasting everyones time clicking this link. I posted this first because I'm personally fascinated by ron hardy despite the fact I never went to the Muzic Box nor heard him play live. I guess its the myth or legend more than anything but I'd just love to hear stories of people that heard him play. When I lived in Chicago (was born there in 78), i was way too young to see him play but man that woulda been a treat.

I was born and lived in the Northside (Leland) til I was 7 ('86) and then moved with my fam to Schaumburg. I lived there til June '90 and then we bounced the area for good and moved to Miami. You a Southsider?

Thanks for this link. I knew of his mixes being on Gridface from DJ History.com I believe. They had a couple great articles on Ron. Not sure if you've read them but they are definitely a great read.
