Trying to go see my holmeses who's doing the Peace Corps in Malawi.
If I'm gonna use my United miles (the only way I can afford to do this), I need to fly into one of those cities and then somehow make it to Nyungwe, Karonga, Malawi. Costs the same number of miles to go to any of these cities.
Any advice? I figure Nairobi is gonna have the most connecting flights, but I can also see the Nairobi airport being the type of world-class giant mess I may want to avoid? Mozambique is closest but that doesn't mean getting to Malawi from there would be the easiest.
If I had all the time in the world I'd fly into Mozambique and travel north up to Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi....by land....then outta Uganda....but that's gotta be like 1500 miles and with the roads (and rain)....
