So, what's do all my fellow strutters have lined up for this years end?? Who's working, DJ'ing, partying hard, getting drunk, doing drugs, etc?

I'm having a quiet family night. Maybe a few drinks, a spliff (after the kid is asleep) and that's about it.

I plan on making a lot of money. Suckers!

  • i've been instructed that i'm going to be playing a well-bred, suave, debonnaire and irresistable british secret agent called "matt bond" at some casino murder mystery party......

has ANYONE ever been roped into one of these things? lame? i'm rather new to domesticated life.

    9-11:30 dinner party
11:30-12:30 outdoor "ball-dropping" party on Hampden's garrishly overlit "miracle block," where a main attraction for some revellers will be posing for pictures with an adult baby who will be draped with a 2011 sash
    12:30-"?" all-night dance party

    Hey Breez,

Wifey, the pooch, and I plan on chillin' in the crib. Mrs. Stacks and I will be dining on seafood hor d'oveurs, wings, and veggies, and toasting in the New Year sippin' on Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial. I'll probably drink some Grand Marnier and chase it with Guinness Extra Stout before starting the festivities. Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!

    Peace,

    serious question:

is it possible to be over 30, married, and have some excitement in your life?

    Hey Martin,

Sure it is, man, but I don't like to kick it on New Year's Eve anymore. Since I've gotten older, I wish to avoid all the risk out there involved with drunk drivers. Plus, I had my excitement this morning., one of the truly slept-on joys of marriage ;-P :real_headz:. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get some exciting "afternoon delight."

    Peace,

If excitement to you is being 25, single and having no financial obligations other than paying rent on an apartment you share with your buddies, then, no.

man, i wish i had more financial obligations!! GET THAT MONEY

  • wife and I are eating at Lotus Of Siam - we ate at the Vegas location last week and now will do it again in NYC - then fleeing uptown to enjoy a movie, a spliff, and some veuve. NYE is the worst.

I wish I had found out about this sooner. Enjoy.

  • that dont sound too bad though.

i gave up on the string of parties a couple years back and joined some friends down by the river with a bonfire and a kettle full of stew. gonna do that again for the third year in a row. mellow, scenic, food, folks, fireworks and fun.
i might stop by a couple places beforehand to say hi tho.

it dont really matter much to me. my life wont be significantly different tomorrow. but its nice to reflect and set some goals (although i do that regularly too)

I hate NYE. I have a headache. and I can't stand being the single dude at a party full of couples.

Gonna hit a small get together uptown and probably be in bed at 1:30 latest ready to get busy tomorrow..

^This sounds rad. Have a great time man.

As for me, the last five years a big group of friends and I have been crashing my man's parent's huge NYE party. Most get too knotted up to even care about the ball dropping, it's a blast.

Luckily she made it onto a Frontier flight just before it took off. should be a fun night. cooking a big dinner too. mussels and fries!

Staying home with the wife and kids. About to throw some steaks on the grill. Our twins are 15 months old and going to any house parties is too much of a pain and it really isn't worth trying to sort out a sitter for the night. Looking forward to eating these Hawaiian rock salt steaks though.
