    found a box of those in Phoenix at a thrift, and didnt know what the hell to do with it. Jokeyish blues piano from Chicago, and sucky sucky ducky

    He actually has some good/ok 45s on Margaret & is on a few good Chicago blues sessions, I've long been a bit curious about how that LP stacks up & haven't had the stones to cop it unheard off ebay.

  • Menard had four singles on Drum Boy and possibly an album, in the early sixties.

    I think I have the Margaret 45. Whoever called it "jokey R&B" was right. IIRC, it was decent for what it was, but hardly essential.

    EDIT: I'm looking at the cover and noticing the notation "1981" in one of the corners. Didn't know he was around that long. All the records I've seen by him were all from the sixties era.
