I love the classics - but this (and pretty much all the other Rhythm & Sound output) from a few years ago is AMAZING and perfectly uses new means of production to add a new flavor.
Reggae and Dub were really my brother's neck of the music woods (I was busy listening to Pink Floyd on my dad's crappy head phones). He did however introduce me to my first Dub album, Aswad's A New Chapter of Dub. I am sure he played me some crazy good Dub albums after that (Mad professor being a vague memory of mine) but from the first track Dub Fire, this is the album that was my gateway into a wider world of music than the Sixties rock of my father* and the Seventies rock of my own youth.
* = To be fair, my father introduced me to Chicago blues, jazz, folk, and classical but I gravitated to his rock collection over all others.
I know these guys are hardly the epitome of Dub, but its what I hear in my head when someone brings it up...
