???A big-hearted rapper with skills, but no attitude to match, P.O.S., a Minneapolis guy, blew through an amp thanks to freaky guitar work against a wash of beats and feedback. He shared the mic, and the glory, with several people he brought up on stage, and pulled the crowd in close.??? ??? The New York Times

???Rolling as deep as the Supreme Court, they're multiracial, multigender, they flow in Spanish sometimes, and a guest emcee called I Self Devine even has a line about mock duck. Though they don't trash talk specific politicians much???the group is hellbent on venting their frustrations with corporations and the wealthy.??? ??? Pitchfork

???Rap won???t save you!??? Doomtree???s MC Mike Mictlan roared to the capacity crowd inside the Marquis Theater on Friday night. The verse from ???Game Over??? on the group???s self-titled 2008 release could have easily boomed from a charismatic-styled Pentecostal preacher warning about the dangers of rap???s pathways to self-destruction??? With lyrics like ???it???s all the fame, it???s all been done, it???s all been fixed, it???s all the same,??? we think the song more probably refers to the limp, overblown hype infusing much of what is considered hip hop today.??? ??? denverpost.com
