    RIP to both Rodger and the link you posted.

  • He was so pivotal to the LA scene in the early 80s that it's hard to imagine west coast rap without him.

    It's also mind-boggling that back then he could fill coliseums with people who would come just to dance to records.

  • Rest in peace. Big influence, still love the records he was involved in. Way, way back in the day, I got to the speak to him and DJ Pooh at a record store that, I think Roger owned in South Central. Seemed like a very cool person. Still have the records that I bought that day. I bought B-Boys Girls and Fast Lane Young Ladies.

    not quite what you asked for but he gets a fair amount of play in Brian Cross' "It's Not About a Salary" as well as Jeff Chang's "Can't Stop, Won't Stop."
